Hedbandz Act Up! is the fast acting family game by Spin Master. The game – suitable for ages 8 years and over will have the whole family laughing as they try to guess what’s on their card. UnderTheChristmasTree were kindly sent Hedbandz Act Up! and we couldn’t wait to get playing this game.
To begin with we took the contents out of the box and we had 6 headbands in different colours, 180 Act Up cards, six player cards, 72 player tokens, a dice, a timer and a handy set of instructions. Each of us took a Game Card and a matching headband which was paced over our foreheads as this is where the card goes. Each of the players were given 12 tokens- the aim is to get rid of all 12 tokens first to be the winner of the game.

We only needed 5 of the head bands as there were only 5 of us playing the game but it is suitable for up to 6 players. Once we had done this we each drew a card at random and we were either a “place”, “person” or “thing”. The Guesser in this case, Elaine, rolled the dice and it landed on blue, meant that John had to start Acting Up – this is where things get not only difficult but hilarious!
John had to try and act out what was on Elaine’s card without talking – which proved quite a challenge for John and all before the timer ran out which was around 30 seconds. Elaine managed to guess what was on her card – which was a Fireman, Elaine then took one of her 12 tokens and put it in the centre of the table – so she only had 11 left to get rid of to be crowned the winner.
We then went round each of the players acting out what was on their cards and reducing the amount of tokens we all had. In the end up Holly was the winner and Elaine ended up finishing in last place – she still had 6 of her tokens left!
Overall we think this game is so much fun, it gets all the family and friends laughing together. The aim of the game is so easy and yet it is very addictive!
