Choosing presents for children is usually fairly easy – after all they are quick enough to give us a list of all they want (usually everything that’s advertised on TV), but trying to find something that will stretch the imagination of a baby and raise one of those much wanted smiles can prove difficult.
We already know that they have more soft toys than the local toyshop and it’s a good guess that many relatives and friends will already have bought them clothing for next summer and possibly even next winter.
We have a couple of ideas up our sleeve that just might fill that ‘something different’ gap.
Little ones 6 months and over would love a sensory ball, it’s possible that they’ve already been introduced to them at a baby sensory class and most seem to love them.
The Halilit Edushape Sensory Ball is available from Amazon

As they grow the ball can help teach throwing and kicking – you might just have the next David Beckham in your midst.
Keeping a little child entertained on a car journey is never easy, so a car toy that is suitable from birth and easily slips over the headrest could be the answer.
