Four years ago at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing we saw Team GB collect 19 Gold medals.
At the London Olympics 2012, Gold Medal cycling contenders Victoria Pendleton and Sir Chris Hoy have been on track with Chris taking gold and Victoria taking Silver!
Team GB has made history as it recorded its biggest collection of gold medals in over 100 years.
It make’s Chris Hoy Britain’s most successful Olympian with 6 gold medals and Victoria Pendleton Britain’s most successful female Olympian with 2 gold and 1 silver medals.
To date Team GB’s haul of medals at the London Olympics include:
- 25 Gold
- 15 Silver
- 14 Bronze
Giving Team GB a total to date of 54 Olympic Medals
At present team GB are in third place in the medal table:-
USA in first place with a total of 90 medals
China in second place with 80medals.
Cheer on Team GB and if they can maintain their position until Sunday’s Closing Ceremony it will be the best finish since 1920.
