The stunning new Grotto at Westfield London and Stratford City – Adventure to Santa’s Grotto, A DreamWorks DreamPlace – takes visitors through fun, interactive and personalised activities this Christmas.
These two locations are also the first official sites committed to hosting a DreamWorks DreamPlace outside of the United States. This grotto combines the studio’s storytelling and humour into one of the greatest legends of all time.
Once aboard Santa’s sleigh, you will go on a cinematic adventure which is set in a 2,000 square-foot holiday cottage which has the latest technology of motion-based effects with magical storytelling. Shrek and Donkey will guide each child on a magical journey through the skies to Santa’s workshop at the North Pole.
Once Shrek and his friends reach the North Pole, kids will have their very own specially provided passport processed at the ‘North Pole Customs Shop’ by one of Santa’s helpful elves. As kids wait for Santa they are able to earn ‘nice points’ through a unique point tablet game before visiting Santa.
The whole experience is tailored and personalised from the moment families reserve their visit from home to meeting Santa in his study.
Myf Ryan, Director at Westfield said: “Westfield is always looking at ways to innovate and provide new experiences for its customers. Partnering with DreamWorks Animation, the global family entertainment brand known for award-winning storytelling and industry leading innovation, will deliver the ultimate Grotto experience to Westfield visitors.”
“We are continually looking for new ways to bring our characters to life and DreamPlace delivers an unparalleled experience which fans in London will absolutely love.” said DreamWorks Animation’s Chief Global Brand Officer Michael Francis.
We for one would definitely go on this trip, who wouldn’t want to go on a trip where you get to meet Santa, Shrek and Donkey!
