Could you play the same game constantly for over 54 hours? Nope – me either, but that’s what the good folks of Bus Stop Toy Shop are aiming to do as they attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “The Longest Marathon Playing a Board Game”
The four strong team, who include Managing Director Duncan Conner, Ben Miller, Christian Olsson and Sean McFarlane will be playing Small World by Days of Wonder and in order to break the current record of 53 hours and 59 minutes they must play constantly for 54 hours +.
Bus Stop Toy Shop is an independent toy shop based in Largs in Scotland and they hope to raise money for CHAS – the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland who run the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
MD Duncan Connor said ” We sought out a children’s charity that had a local connection and I was delighted to discover the CHAS volunteer fundraising group which is based in Largs. CHAS is a wonderful charity, whose important work I was already aware of. They make an ideal charity to partner with”
CHAS fundraiser Nicola Gunn added: “We are really excited that the team from Bus Stop Toy Shop have chosen to support CHAS through this extremely challenging record breaking attempt. We wish them all the best in their efforts.”
Starting on 1st August and finishing on Friday 3rd August we wish them well in their record breaking attempt.
