In a survey of 2,000 industry experts, the humble Lego brick has been voted The Greatest Toy of All Time, according to the Daily Mail.
The aim of the survey was to find the industry’s top twenty toys and Lego, the most widely known construction toy, hit the top spot. Praised for both its value for money and creative fun Lego managed to knock top word game Scrabble into second place.
Always ready for any adventure, Action Man hopped in to third spot with outdoor favourite Frisbee taking fourth place and the ever popular property trading game Monopoly in fifth.
However, it was the winner of the winner of the 19th spot that took everyone by surprise. Much more cost effective, never out of stock, light and easy to use this ‘toy’ is the perfect way to encourage children’s creative side while learning. What is this amazing toy? It’s a simple cardboard box!!!
