After admiring the Extreme Beast in the box, we noticed on the front of the box the one thing that made us love this toy even more…batteries were included! We knew at this point we were onto a winner!

The Radio Control Extreme Beast was very easy to get out of the box, we simply slid the remote control and the vehicle out of the box and cut the ties which keeps both of these secure while they are in the box. Also included in the box was the battery charger, 6V Rechargeable Battery pack which is for the vehicle, 1.5 AA LR6/R6 non-rechargeable Battery for the controller and of course the handy instructions manual.
The design on the vehicle is very highly detailed, with it’s blue design with the word ‘Extreme Beast’ emblazoned on the front. The wheels are black with yellow rims and these are quite a large size. The vehicle was fairly light to lift and it is sturdy.
Holly – who asked if she could review the product charged up the batteries for the vehicle which took around an hour and a half for the initial charge and put the batteries into the the controller. It was time to put this Maisto Radio Control Extreme Beast through it’s paces.
After setting the Power Switch on the controller and vehicle to the ON position the Power LED on the controller and the vehicle both began to flash for around 2 to 3 seconds and as per the instructions Holly turned it off and them back on again. Taking the controller Holly pulled the trigger about half way and the vehicle drove forward and then pulled it the full way and it sped up – although Holly didn’t expect this and the vehicle took a bit of a hit as it hit into a table – but the Extreme Beast didn’t even get a scratch on it! If your a bit unsure about using the faster speed the you can just keep the trigger half way and it will move forward at a reasonable pace.
Moving it backwards was easy as Holly simply pushed the trigger and it went backwards and to move it left and right she simply steered the vehicle left or right. Taking the Extreme Beast we put this on a the ground as the vehicle should not be put on grass, sand or drive through water. This is when the Extreme Beast could really show off what it could do. Putting this at full speed Holly and with spring suspension the Extreme Beast could twist and turn at the flick of the trigger.
Overall we thought Tobar’s Maisto Radio Control Extreme Beast which is suitable for ages 8 years and up is ideal for those who are experienced in using these vehicles, however if you were new to playing this type of toy then this may well be the one for you as it is easy to use and will provide lots of fun and laughs!
