The 5th and 6th of December will mark the arrival of Europe’s biggest vegan festival “Vegfest” which this year will be held at Glasgow’s SECC arena.
The 2 day vegan food festival is preceded by a brand-new Glasgow-based venture ‘The Only Way is Ethics’ comprising of a number of ethical, fairtrade, organic and vegan enterprises in the region.
The event will showcase the best of vegan food and will promote veganism with a health summit on the Saturday and an activist summit on the Sunday. Live entertainment for all the family will also be available on the day and with more than 120 stalls, there is plenty to see and do at the Vegfest.
Included in the day will be a range of Christmas Vegan inspired recipes and ideas for you to give a go over the festive period.
Speaking of the event, The Vegfest organisers added:
“We’re beyond elated to be given the opportunity to bring our vegan festival and hence the benefits of healthy eating and vegan lifestyles to Glasgow this year. We’re also privileged to be invited to organise a show at a venue as prestigious and high-profile as the SECC and we’re very excited at the prospect of making this show a huge success.”
Admission to Vegfest Scotland is by advance tickets as well as payment on the gate. Advance tickets are £5 a day and £8 for the whole weekend. The organisers of Vegfest Scotland also have 3 other big shows in Brighton (March 28th 29th), Bristol (May 23rd 24th) and London (October 10th 11th) this year.
