Mary Poppins Sequel Confirmed For Christmas 2018 Starring Emily Blunt
Everyone’s favourite singing nanny is making a big return as Emily Blunt is confirmed to star in the sequel of Mary Poppins!

Blunt will play the role of the beloved nanny which was made famous by actress Julie Andrews. Along side Emily, Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is the creator and star of the Broadway smash-hit Hamilton, will star as a new character called Jack who is a street lamplighter.
The sequel will be released on Christmas Day 2018.
The new film will be set in Depression-era London, the setting of Travers’ stories, and will see Mary Poppins return to the now grownup Jane Banks, Michael Banks and his three children after they suffer a personal loss, Disney said.
“Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives,” the studio said.
However it has not yet been confirmed if Julie Andrews or Dick Van Dyke will appear at all in the sequel.
