Sat-uuuuuur-daaaaay! It was advertised on television that Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is ‘coming soon’ well we have a sneaky suspicion we know when the return date is – Shh! it’s a secret!
Our spies tell us that the (unconfirmed) return date for the hit television show is the 22nd of February and it will run for 7 weeks (until April 5th).

Ant & Dec won a ‘landmark award’ at the National Television Awards in January 2014 after celebrating 25 years as a duo in the entertainment business. Declan Donnelly said ‘Neither of us would be here without the other so thank you very much’.
Ant & Dec ended their last season of Saturday Night Takeaway with a rendition of ‘Lets Get Ready To Rumble‘ much to the glee of their millions of fans and loyal viewers. Even though there was no Christmas special, the geordie boys did host one of our favourite shows of the year ‘Text Santa’.
Featured on the previous season was the ‘Ant vs Dec’ series where the two faced a secret challenge at the end of each show. Ashley Roberts from the Pussycat Dolls presented Ant vs Dec and some of the challenges were physically daunting – like climbing to the top of a building or walking a tightrope! To be fair, Ant always won any challenges where great heights were involved – Dec is TERRIFIED of heights!
Ant & Dec are involved in other shows throughout the year as well, including ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’ which sees celebrities go through gruelling tasks in the Australian Outback and airs near Christmas each year. Before you know it we will be seeing the return of more Christmas and winter programmes such as the Xfactor and Strictly Come Dancing.
From Pop Idol to Saturday Night Takeaway, Ant & Dec have earned their mark in entertainment over the years.
We don’t know about you, but we just can’t wait to see the return of Saturday night takeaway on February 22nd and once this finishes it’s likely that more winter programmes will start to be advertised!
