The wonderful news that Prince William and Princess Catherine are to have a baby(babies?) is all the more welcome in this the year of the Queen and Prince Philip’s 65th wedding anniversary and the Diamond Jubilee.
Married on 29th April 2011, William and Kate’s child will be third in line to the throne, but what will the tiny prince/princess be called?
Speculation already has Elizabeth and Diana high on the list and Charles must be somewhere near the top for a boy
Traditionally royal babies have around four Christian names and it’s likely that the young couple will try to incorporate names from both families
As Prince of Wales and Earl and Countess of Strathearn names from both these areas may also be high on their baby names lists.
