One of the most highly anticipated BBC Christmas specials of 2015 for us is definitely the Call The Midwife Christmas Special which is all about Family Moments (all together now “Aaahhhh”)

Today on Facebook, a photo with some behind the scenes information was posted to keep us fans excited for the upcoming Xmas TV special & season.
They posted the following message on the Call The Midwife official Facebook page:
“Christmas is a time for reflection – for taking stock of who we are, what we have and how far we’ve come. In a drama like Call the Midwife, it is also a time when the work doesn’t stop; babies must be born, and families cared for.
Yet with each passing Christmas Special, it is important for us to reflect the rhythms of the season through our characters and their relationships.
We are blessed to have a family unit at the heart of our drama in the Turners. Patrick, Shelagh, young Tim and baby Angela enable us to show not simply the world of nursing, or the rituals of the convent, but also the ordinary lives of a family marking another year passed.
In this behind-scenes shot, we see Shelagh Turner, played by Laura Main, rehearsing a scene involving the brilliant young Max Macmillan, who plays Timothy. The location is the home of the Turners – now a familiar sight for our audience, and a place where the intimate exchanges of a family can be played out.
This is the real privilege of a long-running series: the opportunity to unfold drama at a pace that follows the milestones of the audience’s year. It is a privilege we never take for granted.”
Like last years BBC One Call the Midwife Christmas special will this have us laughing and crying in the space of one hour?
We literally cannot wait to see what the show has in store for us! Are you looking forward to seeing it? As always, you can let us know in the comments below.
