British Airways wants to make sure that you and your families flight is as enjoyable as possible so here are just a few things that they can do to ensure this happens.
Kids Meals – Infants
If you are traveling with an infant BA carry some tinned baby food on their long-haul flights but they do recommend that you carry your own baby food and equipment, including liquids and sterilized bottles, in your hand baggage.
If you do want to ring your own baby food, make sure that it is un-opened food in a sealed jar.
Please also note that airport security does vary around the world. so please check what restrictions your airport has in place for carrying baby milk in your hand baggage.
BA are unable to sterilize bottles or provide sterilized water on board.
Children
BA have created a range of children’s meals which are both healthy and delicious. They have developed these dishes to satisfy your child’s sense of fun as well as their hunger.
British Airways also say that because their children’s meals are nutritionally balanced, you don’t have to worry about what they eat on-board, and they also have a ‘Feed Kids First’ policy which means that your little ones are happy before you enjoy your own meal in peace.
In-flight entertainment on long haul flights has a dedicated kids’ channel from Disney and Cartoon Network which shows cartoons and popular shows. There is also a family moves and a dedicated audio music channel.
They also offer the parental lock which lets you block programmes which you don’t want your children to see.
Skyflyer Activity Pack
British Airways also offer a Skyflyer activity pack to help keep your little one amused during their flight. The activity pack comes in swimming bags and the Skyflyer packs are available on all flights over two hours from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.
For children between three and five years old, the pack contains crayons and a ‘Spread your Wings’ colouring book featuring Cuthbert the Cat.
For children over six, the pack contains a pen and the ‘Wing It’ book, packed with exciting facts about flying, together with puzzles and sudokus.
