CBeebies wants more of Tree Fu Tom

The hit pre-school Cbeebies show Tree Fu Tom had been commissioned for a second series.

The action adventure child series which is aimed at 4-6 year old’s, combines heroic action fun with fantasy, magic and physical movement. If you already tune into the show you will know it is set in an enchanted world where movement creates magic.

Viewers are encourage to interact with the show through physical actions which help the development of children. Former Doctor Who stars Sophie Aldred and David Tennant voice the lead characters Tom and Twigs.

Cbeebies and FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) will be joining forces and will be airing the new series in 2013. Currently CBeebies number one show, Tree Fu Tom has been hugely popular since launching in March this year.

Sander Schwartz, President of Kids & Family Entertainment, FME, says: “We are delighted the BBC has shown its continued commitment to Tree Fu Tom by signing a second series. The show has performed exceptionally well in the UK and is already delivering strong international growth. The 26 new episodes will allow FME to increase the global reach for the series and further cement the brand’s position as a powerhouse preschool property.”
