Many of us will have lived through the screaming tantrums of the little child who’s lost their favourite teddy.
Trying to console them is a job in itself and there will never be another bear quite like the one they’ve lost –even if it’s the same make and model – they will always be able to tell the difference.
Holiday company Center Parcs have a good record of finding lost teddies and in 2012 returned around 50% back to their families.
However, they feel that this could be improved and are to introduce their new “Teddy Tagging” system which this month will initially be trialled at four of their holiday villages:
- Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire
- Elveden Forest in Suffolk
- Longleat Forest in Wiltshire
- Whinfell Forest in Cumbria
Teddy Tags, which guest tie to their teddy’s arm, will be available at arrival lodges, this service will hopefully help reunite lost teddies with their families.
Center Parcs Lost Property Manager, Janice Abram comments: “Center Parcs remains so popular with families because we go the extra mile to make sure they have a great time. ‘Teddy Tagging’ should ensure we can reunite even more teddy bears with their owners, and give families the confidence to bring even the most treasured toys on holiday.”
We think this is a great idea – let us know what do you think?
