Chime for Change with Beyonce

Saturday 1st June will see superstars Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Florence and the Machine and loads more take to the Twickenham Stadium stage to help raise funds for the Chime for Change campaign.

Gucci’s new Chime for Change campaign is an initiative founded by Beyonce Knowles, Salma Hayek and Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini it’s aim is to improve health, education and justice for women worldwide.

The gig which will be presented by superstars Blake Lively and Franco will be broadcast to millions across the globe.

Beyonce who is the concert’s artistic director will perform a 45-minute set, said  “I am excited that so many fantastic artists have agreed to perform with me on 1 June to raise funds and awareness for Chime for Change.  Our goal is to convene, unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world so that they cannot be ignored”

Tickets are already available and other names who will feature in the 4 hour charity gig include Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Haim. Further acts and surprise collaborations are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Proceeds from the event will help fund 120 projects supporting girls and women in more than 70 countries.

Every ticket buyer will be able to choose which project his or her ticket supports, and Gucci is underwriting the event so that all ticket money (less VAT and service fees) goes to the projects.

Television viewers will be able to donate online at chimeforchange.org and fb.com/chimeforchange.
