This Christmas why not folllow Alice down the rabbit hole in Christopher Wheeldon’s entertaining ballet which the Royal Opera House will be showing during December,2014.
The story of Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland differs slightly from the original.
This time ‘it all begins at a garden party on a sunny afternoon, Alice is surprised to see her parents friend Lewis Carroll transform into a white rabbit. When she follows him down a rabbit hole things get curiouser and curiouser’.
On her journeys through Wonderland Alice encounters countless strange creatures. She’s swept off her feet by the charming Knave of Hearts, on the run for stealing the tarts. Confusion piles upon confusion until Alice wakes with a start. Was it all a daydream?
The ballet will run from 6th December 2014 – 16th January, 2015. If you can’t make it to Covent Garden to see the ballet live on stage then you may be interested in visiting your local cinema where, on 16th December, you will be able to see this wonderful ballet live on screen.
Tickets for this outstanding Christmas season Opera should be available HERE from June 2014.
