Christmas Comes Early For Hull!

Barnardo’s Charity Shop in Hull has been hit with festive feeling as they dress up their store (and their staff!) in christmas  decorations to help bring Christmas to Hull.

The staff are even handing out free mince pies! It’s never too early for a mince pie in our opinion.

Manager Adrian Hallett is the mastermind behind the week long event. Adrian said:-

I only took over as manager a month ago and I was looking to do a clear- out.  I came across a load of Christmas goods and thought it would be a good idea to have a Christmas sale.  We have Christmas trees, baubles and stacks of other decorations.  I think it is a good way of getting people to talk about the store.”

The assistant Manager of the Hull store, Hannah Ingram, thinks the idea has been a huge success, saying;-

“It is going really well. People have said we’re a bit crazy, but we are struggling to keep up and the Christmas items are going very quickly.  Buying decorations and trees now means people can be better prepared for Christmas and spread the cost a bit.  Most people have been very positive, although there have been a few grumpy comments from those who feel it is too early.”
