Cornflake nest cakes

Looking for a recipe which is simple, fun and more importantly fast to do with the kids? then nothing beats the traditional cornflake chocolate nests.

You can make these with different types of chocolate – White, Dark and Milk or if like us make all three, you don’t want to run out? any excuse!

Here is our fast, simple and chocolatey cornflake nest recipe:

Step 1) Put a good amount of cornflakes into a big bowl

Step 2) Melt the chocolate in a small bowl placed over a pan of barely simmering water. If you want to use the microwave do 10 second burst and stir until melted.

Step 3) Once chocolate has melted pour the chocolate over the cornflakes and stir to combine.

Tip: why not add raisins or other dried fruit to make it extra tasty.

Step 4) Spoon the mixture into cupcake cases and press the back of the spoon into each to make a nest.

Step 4) Decoration time! add mini eggs on the top and any other desired decoration.

Step 5) Place in fridge to let cool and set.

Then you are done all that’s left to do is the dishes, and of course to eat any excess left overs in the bowl!
