Dermalogica has recently introduced a new trio of products to their already extensive range of fabulous skincare. We were lucky enough to be sent the products to try out and we were all too happy to oblige.
As always with Dermalogica, the packaging is simple and clean with the white logo on the front. All of the packaging is the same (in different sizes) for this range which makes it easily identifiable.
The first product we’d like to discuss is the Dermalogica C-12 Pure Bright Serum. This serum is designed to prevent hyper pigmentation and has been formulated over several years. Using this serum helps to balance out your skintone. We have been using this and must say it feels like cashmere on our skin. It sinks in really well and doesn’t feel oily at all. Our skin feels much softer to touch and we can definitely see an improvement of our skin tones.
The product information recommends using the Pure Light SPF 50 during the day once this has been used. Whereas the serum has no smell, this actually smells of eucalyptus. It has SPF 50 in this and so you would expect this to be a ‘heavy’ product. In fact, this doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all – although it’s worth noting that a small amount goes a long way. If you plan on wearing makeup on top of this, then be sure to set your foundation with a powder to avoid any ‘shiny’ spots as SPF is known to reflect light. The two products together feel like a winning combination with not a single break out in sight – to top it off the Eucalyptus smell makes our skin feel clean.
Last but by no means least is ‘Pure Night’ which is an overnight treatment cream that continues to work it’s complexion correcting magic while we sleep – We’re all for that! Packed full of Pumpkin enzymes, and cranberry & raspberry seed oils, this smells almost coconut like. This cream is quite rich and so will feel slightly thick on the skin initially but will sink into the skin after 10 minutes or so. This is designed to be thick as it works overnight.
The three products are really a winning combination for all skin types and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Have you tried this latest collection from Dermalogica? If not, it’s always a good one to ask Santa for this Christmas. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
