A survey of 1,051 UK adults carried out by interiors retailer, Furniture123, revealed that 62% of Brits combine bath-time with their favourite hobbies. Does this include eating Pizza and Creme Eggs whilst watching White Christmas? The Jury’s out!
The survey found that we are far from alone with our solo bathtime karaoke sessions to ‘Last Christmas’, as it found more than half (53%) of Brits listen to music whilst spending time in the bathroom, showering, bathing or pampering.
The survey quizzed respondents on the reasons why they choose to multitask when visiting the powder room, limited free time is the reason for 40% of busy Brits, 36% said they take their hobbies to the bathroom for entertainment purposes, while a third (33%) felt that taking their hobbies into the bathroom helps them unwind.
Mark Kelly, marketing manager at Furniture123 said:
“Advances in technology now allows Brits to enjoy their favourite past times in the bathroom without the fear of water and steam damage to their technology.
“While a large number of Brits feel limited on time to enjoy their favourite hobbies, it’s great to see that as many as 33% take this time to relax and unwind from their daily routines.
