Whilst most of us were still recovering from too many puddings and pies, supermarkets across Britain emptied their shelves and filled them up with Easter Eggs as early as Boxing Day!
“@NigelComerford: So so wrong. Easter eggs already. pic.twitter.com/rxaL0XoHEs” Local Tesco had them boxing day!

We couldn’t help but notice Easter seemed to be on our screens and in our supermarkets earlier than ever before, Santa hadn’t even got the snow off his boots before Creme eggs landed in-store.
And it looks as though we’re not the only ones to notice, as shoppers across the UK took to social media to share their thoughts:

Speaking to a Cadbury spokesperson, we asked why the Easter campaign has started earlier than ever, they said: “All our Easter range are available in major retailers after New Year’s Day. However, as some stores know that people can’t wait to get their hands on Easter products, they may decide to stock the product before Christmas. It is at the retailer’s discretion however as to when they decide to stock these seasonal products.”
Like last year, 2018 Easter seems to becoming the new Christmas two with retailers stocking Easter themed products and parents buying a gift alongside an egg.
Before we know it, could we talking about the top TV ads for Easter!
We just hope the chocolate hasn’t already gone out of date.
