Festive Fancies

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without some festive fancies,  cakes, pastries, sweets, puddings, biscuits – all of these really make our christmas feel, like Christmas. We were kindly sent the items below.

Here are some of our favourite ‘Festive Fancies’ for Christmas 2013 – if you are hungry we suggest you look away NOW!

These caramels are decorated like Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh.  They have a milk chocolate cup filled with delicious caramel, perfect for treating yourself over Christmas and also make a superb stocking filler – if they make it that far!

It doesn’t matter how much we’ve eaten on Christmas day, we always have space for mint chocolates.   These mint thins are perfect from Tesco, a nd at just £1, we might just buy a few packs! sshh!!

Are we the only ones who don’t mind eating decorated choccies? At just eighty pence each, we might ‘invest’ in a few for decoration aswell as eating. Ideal for kids parties and to fill the stocking with.

These Tesco Cinder Toffee Coal’s look exactly like lumps of coal which adds a really simple but effective spin to regular toffee’s.  We love these, we never thought we’d see the day when we would be happy for santa to leave us a lump of coal!

Christmas is definitely not a ‘healthy eating’ time of year for us here in the UTCT offices, but when we saw marzipan shaped as fruits, we genuinely felt as though we were being healthy, just by eating something fruit shaped.  These cost £3 and are delicious.

Tesco has been very creative this year with a range of their own finest choices – just to you and I that little extra.  Below is our top four products we not only liked the look of but we tried and tested too.

Each one if very rich in taste however when you add in some double cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream this make’s them not taste just as heavy.  The pudding which can serve eight, even though we shared between five, is filled with so much fruit and flavour it’s like having Christmas in your mouth!

The Christmas cake looks homemade so you can cheat and tell friends you did make it, don’t forget to hide all Tesco packaging though!  tasted moist and not dry at all.  With some shop bought cake it can taste very dry and stick to the top of the mouth however, Tesco finest was moist but very heavy.

What do you like to eat as festive fancies for over christmas?  we’re drooling just thinking about it!
