From Newcastle to Munich’s Christmas Market

For the first time shoppers from the north of England can hop over to Munich’s Oktoberfest beer festival or wander around Munich’s popular Christmas markets.

Jet 2 have today announced that they will launch flights from Newcastle International Airport to Vienna in November and December.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive Steve Heapy said “Our European Christmas market package breaks are always popular and we’re thrilled to add the magical city of Munich from Newcastle International Airport this year.”

He continued “There’s something for everyone in Munich. You can enjoy traditional Bavarian food and drink and browse for unique Christmas gifts in the huge market covering the heart of the city.

“Meanwhile Vienna is a city of nostalgia and romance that offers truly seasonal inspiration with a vast array of concerts, nativity displays and traditional markets.”

The Vienna trip departs on November 28, with return flights priced £179. Two night packages, including bed and breakfast in a 3-star hotel start at £199.

Flights to Munich take off on December 5, priced from £159, with a two night package from £229.
