Get involved with London 2012 World Sports Day June 25th 2012

There are only a few weeks left to go until the world’s biggest sporting event takes place – The London Olympics! Children from  around the world are finding fun and exciting ways to keep active and feel as though they are taking part in the official games and on Monday 25th of June London 2012 World Sports Day takes place!

Presented by Llyods TSB the aim of this fantastic event is for your children to get involved at their school or community by celebrating the athletes and different cultures of the teams from the Olympics and Paralympic sport. You can take part by getting your school or local area to join the mass for a fun filled sporting day with everything from Bollywood dancing, creating different national flags, taking part in different sports and much more.

You can take part by reading and watching some of the great articles and videos which have been launched to give you  great tips and ideas for planning your own Olympic party – You can even learn the official Mascot Dance….if you want!

Don’t miss out on all the fun – get your school involved by ordering the free event pack which contains the branded stickers and posters for you to decorate with, why not host your very own opening ceremony, learn different languages, cook different food from all around the world and of course sample them!.

Helping to encourage young children to be more active, the world sports day wil help teach children about different cultures, become more interactive and about being a team player. Here are five different ways you can get your child involved with the special word sports day on June 25th 2012:

  2. Learn a different language

  4. Host your very own Opening ceremony
  5. Create Mascots, design National flags and learn the official Mascot dance!
