Halloween Toffee Apples Recipe

When you think of Halloween you think of ghost, skeletons, dressing up and of course some sweet treats we can all sink our teeth into!

Toffee Apples are without-a-doubt something everyone will have already or will be trying over the ghoulish holiday.

Here is a easy recipe to make 6 toffee apples:

You will need:

  • 6 Granny Smith apples
  • 6 wooden sticks (like those used for ice lollies)
  • 4 (100g) packets original toffee, such as Walkers
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1 – Wash and dry your apples, once you have done this you are ready to get going. Simply insert wooden sticks 3/4 of the way into the stem end of each apple and then place them onto a baking tray lined with lightly greased aluminum foil.

Step 2 – Combine toffee, water and vanilla in a saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring often, until toffee melts and is smooth, there’s nothing wrong with tasting it just to make sure it tastes fine.

Step 3 – Tip each apple into the toffee and gently run apples around inside of saucepan to scrape off some of the toffee. Place on the aluminum foil and chill until ready to serve.

Tah-Dah you have just made the tastiest Halloween apples around! If you want to make your Toffee apples a little more eerie why not spread some hundreds of thousands on the top, or even decorate the wooden stick in Halloween theme!
