Hasbro sent UnderTheChristmasTree it’s new fame edition of Game of Life game which had us acting like pre-madonna superstars. The spin to win game will let you live your dreams.
How to Play.
Were you the child re-enacted big Hollywood blockbusters in front of friends and family?.. or was this us? either way you will have hours of fun playing the new board game which will give everyone a high flying career.
Setting up the board couldn’t be easier, simply connect all five pieces into the gold spinner with the gold path face up, it’s basically like a big jigsaw but adult assembly may be needed for the kids. Then sort the cards into 4 decks placing them next to the board and hand each player 1 car, a gold peg plus a whopping 200k to get started with.
You then take 3 career cards, choose you favourite out of the three, place it face-up in front of you and this is your job – only if getting jobs were that easy. Looking around the table we had a fashion designer, racing driver and a writer – John always thought he was destined to be a racing driver!
You then choose 2 entourage cards, again choose your favourite which benefits your career (example: if you were a fashion designer if you got a stylist card you would want him/her to be part of your crew) these can help win you the game. The aim is to collect 5 Star Cards, make your way to THE END space and you win!
To star the youngest (Mandy) plays first, simply spin the gold spinner and move your limo the amount spaces it has landed on and follow the instructions on the space, this could be Take a star, the STOP space where you flip the segment of the gold board which is unoccupied and play the red-carpet edition or get more cash by landing on PAYDAY space, however if you stumble over your lines you will loose 200k – Holly was glad this wasn’t real money.
At the end of the game John won, he collected all five Star Cards and had an entourage even Simon Cowell would be jealous of this included an agent, fitness trainer and chef, because every racing driver needs a chef…right?
The Game of life fame edition board game comes in a very colourful box with one end shaped like a star. Suitable for ages 8 and older this will retail at around £20.
