Local florists to spread the flower power for International Lonely Bouquet Day on Sunday June 30th.
Right around the UK florists are joining forces to give away beautiful bouquets to total strangers to celebrate International Lonely Bouquet Day. Spreading the natural cheer of flowers, Emily Avenson has been working hard to get as many companies to take part as possible.
As part of the campaign, florists will leave small but stunning formed bouquets of flowers in random places complete with tag which asks someone to give this lovely bunch of flowers a home. If you find one the only rule is to let them know where the bouquet went.
Caroline Marshall-Foster, media spokesperson for the Flower & Plants Association and Editor of Florist Magazine who is taking part in the campaign said:
“Some of the stories from people who have found the Lonely Bouquets are incredibly heart-warming but then that’s what flowers are all about … the easiest way to say anything to anyone on any occasion and be sure of creating a smile.”
With over 150 local independent florists from around the UK are taking part already people have been finding them, one was found at Glasgow florist Roots, Fruits and Flowers on Kelvinbridge and another in Leeds from a company called Serendipity Floral Designs.
Have you came across any of these lonely flowers? We hope we find some!
