This year we will celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, June 15th, it’s a day where we get to honour fathers and father figures, such as grandfathers and fathers-in-law, but how will you show your father just how much he means to you on this special day?
With our busy lifestyles we possibly don’t get to see our Dad’s as often as we’d like, so make this day extra special for him and you by making time for a visit.
Many schools and children’s organisations will already have helped children to make a special card possibly with ‘The World’s Best Dad’ or just simply ‘Dad’ printed on the front.

It’s customary to give a Father’s Day gift, often these consist of socks, ties, sweaters etc but with the increase in the number of personalised gifts available it has become easy to give calendars, mugs, mouse mats and even personalised t-shirts as gifts.
Treat your Dad, his Dad and your partner to a special Fathers Day lunch followed by a trip to the golf course, a country walk or a glass of wine at a local hotel or pub where all the family (including the little ones) are made to feel welcome.
A traditional Father’s Day meal would be a roast dinner with all the trimmings.
When you arrive back home after a lovely family afternoon it’s time for ‘the Dads’ to open their Father’s Day gifts, followed by a large piece of Father’s Day cake which the children have both helped to make and also contributed to the icing and decoration on top.
