Top Toys 2009 Revealed

ITV Reveal the Top Toys for 2009. The ‘dream dozen’ children’s Christmas toys have been unveiled, from the brand new to some of the old classics.Take a look at their video to see these toys in action.

ITV said “A ‘dream dozen’ of children’s Christmas toys have been unveiled, which retailers say range from the brand new to some of the
old classics. The Toy Retailers Association (TRA) have revealed the top twelve toys for 2009 which they expect will prove the biggest sellers in the run-up to the festive period.

Old favourites such as Monopoly, Lego and Sylvanian Families are tipped to fly off the shelves along with more contemporary gadgets such as a digital camera and a Battle Strikers game. For those looking to tighten the purse strings during the recession, this year’s list offers toys which should not prove too much of a blow to the bank balance, with none costing above £50.

Gary Grant, Chairman of the TRA, said: “This year, the toy industry has turned the latest trends into up-to-the-minute concepts to provide today’s kids with innovative and creative toys. “This year’s list also reveals a trend towards nostalgic characters and brands which have been updated with a modern twist. Consumers are reverting back to heritage brands which will last longer than the Christmas season”.

  • Bakugan Battle Pack, Spin Master
  • Battle Strikers starter Set, Mega Brands
