The scents I would like in a Christmas candle would have to include the obvious one – a real Christmas tree smell, but also things like the smell of mince pies heating up in the oven, the smell of ginger and fruit as my granny makes her famous ginger wine, the fresh, clean smell of first snow, the musty, spicy smell of the Christmas tree decorations box when we get it down from the loft, the sweet smell of my freshly washed children in brand new Christmas pyjamas. <3

A perfect Christmas smell would be a blend of cold, crisp evenings, damp leaves and cold wind – with fir trees, holly and just a hint of spicy mulled wine. Failing that, the smell you get when you first open a tin of Quality Street!
