Leappad Explorer 2
The LeapPad Explorer learning tablet was crowned the Toy of the Year in 2011 due to its educational, entertaining and creative features. As LeapFrog continue in their quest to revolutionize and lead the way in educational and fun learning devices, Underthechristmastree can officially confirm the Leappad Explorer 2 will be released to help children reach their potential. The LeapPad2 will feature higher resolution front and back cameras and video recorders, the new faster LF 2000 processor and double the memory to 4GB.
All of this will be housed is a durable and kid-friendly design. Sound good? Well there’s even more features packed into this educational toy. The Explorer 2 also has improved battery life and is compatible with a brand new internal battery system and recharger packs, each of these are available separately. The Leapfrog LeapPad 2 Green & Leapfrog LeapPad 2 Pink includes extensive free content which includes: a music player which has five Learning Songs, a brand new Cartoon Director creativity app, Art Studio app, Pet Pad writing app and there will also be the choice of an additional app.
The Cartoon Director app will make the most of its new features as this allows kids to develop their inner director by creating and starring in their very own cartoons and they can also share their masterpiece with their friends and family. By the end of the year the content library will feature more than 325 game cartridges, apps, videos, music, eBooks and more. The Leappad2 is compatible with the Explorer cartridges and leapfrog App Centre digital content. It is expected that this Leapfrog Toy will cost around £89.99 and will be released in August 2012.
The revolutionary tablet is available in both pink and green and will have features such as you can choose from more than 2500 apps! You can also trace, create and play by using your finger or the stylus on the 5-inch touch screen, you can also control the action in games with motion-based play and of course you can record your own voice with the built-in microphone.
The Leapfrog LeapPad2 Explorer draws from more than 2500 skills in subjects including reading, music, art, language and culture, science, geography, maths, health and more. It will also automatically adjust to the learning to each child, asking more challenging questions on kid’s skill development. Plus the explorer will remember progress from game to game so that learning and fun can keep moving forward. Parents can even connect to the free, online Leapfrog Learning Path so that they can see specific details of their kids learning process and they can share achievements and artwork with family and friends.
