Lego and Cartoon Network Team up for ‘Mixels’ Franchise

The Lego Group and Cartoon Network have partnered for a new franchise “Mixels”.

This new venture will feature animated content, new buildable toys, a mobile game and even a digital gaming experience.

Mixel’s , who are small creatures that can mix and combine with one another, will air on Cartoon Network, the series will also get a section on the website and building set’s will be rolled out in 2014.

Jill Wilfert, vice president licensing and entertainment for The LEGO Group said: “Our relationship with Cartoon Network has really evolved and they have been really great, supportive partners who share our passion for children,”

Bringing together showbiz and building blocks,  is just another step made by Lego into the showbiz realm.

Mixels are set to be like none other with world-class animators and game developers. Both brands will put it’s strengths into the product.
