Lego Lord of the Rings Battle of Helms Deep 9474
The battle has only just begun as Helm’s Deep us under attack by the Uruk-hai army. Its up to you, men, elves and a dwarf to do everything you can to stop the fortress being breached but with the Berserker Uruk-hai creating a powerful bomb can you strike him down in time before the wall is blown apart? Use your sword, axe, bow to fight them off and blow the horn of helm Hammerhand to strike fear into this orc army! Lets take a closer look at the Lego Lord of the Rings The battle for Helms Deep set.
Based on one of the most epic scenes from the three movies The battle of Helms deep was in the second film (The Two Towers) where King Theoden and his Rohan army joined forces with the elves to face the biggest battle yet against the Uruk-hai of Isengard. As the Uruk-hai plant a bomb in the deeping wall the survivors were called back but Haldir was struck in the back with an axe by an Berserker Uruk-Hai and was killed. A light then shines bright and Eomer and his riders leaded by Gandalf appear and win the battle – This will not be the biggest challenge they have yet to come! The Lego 9474 set comes with 8 minifigures including the exclusive Haldir, Berserker Uruk-Hai and Theoden who are available to this set.
Théoden the king of Rohan is dressed in his full Armour which is brown and gold with the flower of rohan on the front of his chest, Theoden also has the silver armour on the front of his legs. Carrying his grey sword and shield which also is decorated with a red outline set him on his brown horse and head to battle He has a light brown beard and he has a angry expression on his face which show his teeth – no longer is he succumbed to the spell cast by the wizard Saruman!
Haldir who comes to helms deep to honor the allegiance between elves and men looks every bit as royal as he does in the movie, featuring his statement red cape and his outfit is red and gold with a drawn on belt. His famous blond locks are also on display and if you turn him round they have even added in his pleat at the back of the head! Some thought this was the Legolas figure but legolas does not come with this set unfortunately.
Aragorn who has the same hair piece as some of the other minifigures (snape) wears his long grey tunic with the brown leather waistcoat over the top there is also a belt drawn on. Aragorn’s expression is just the same as Theodens but he has a smaller beard around his mouth. Gimlie who we have to admit we just cant help but love is exactly like his character from the movie – he has a long untamed brown beard, a huge helemt which he can barely see out of and he hold his axe – which might we add is taller than him! With eyes like a hawk, ears like a fox… well kind of not much will get past this Dwarf!
Berserker Uruk-Hai is an Orc-man who is so powerful they don’t even need metal shields! This minifigure has the white paint surrounding his face and very sharp looking teeth. He can carry the torch which he uses in the movie to set the bomb alight. The berserker has a painted on torso. The 3 Uruk-hai orcs all have silver helmets and two also wear Armour.
The Lego Lord of the Rings Battle of Helms Deep 9474 is the biggest set with over 1300 pieces to build you can see why fans will want it as part of their collection.
