Lego’s Version Of Olympic Village Is Almost Complete

Want to see what a Lego model of the Olmpic Village will look like in a few years time? Now you can! The construction at the Westfield Shopping centre in Stratford should be completed by 1st October.

Measuring 3 sq.m, the new model will replicate the Olympic skyline and will show the shape of things to come when the area which will be called the East Village opens in the summer of 2013 to the general public and when completed it will provide 2,818 homes.

At the end of the 400 hour construction, it will give the first ever detailed view of the East Village, which during the Games was closed.

The scene will include a new state-of-the-art education campus for 1,800 students and entertainment venues within the Queen Elizabeth Park.
