Christmas Pudding is one of our favourite foods of Christmas and we are always happy to see it hitting the shelves. However, it seems M&S have had their Christmas Puddings out a little too soon as their sell by date is at the end of October, meaning the festive delicacy won’t be safe to eat over Christmas. It may seem to defeat the purpose to you, but apparently the idea is to allow people to try before they decide to use it over Christmas.

An M&S spokesman said: ‘Our customers like to try our festive range long before Christmas and then return to store nearer the time to buy a fresh products. Festive food in store now is selling really well and we note best before dates on the pack’.
