Harry, Liam, Zayne, Louis and Niall get waxed for Madame Tussauds!
One Direction band will join some of the worlds biggest A-listers being immortalised in wax for Madam Tussauds.
The five boys have been measured up and will be turned into wax figurines for fans to be able to take a photo with. These lifeless and stiff figures (very unlike the boys themselves) will travel around the world starting in London and moving across to New York and then onto Sydney.
‘We’re just kind of a bit overwhelmed. We’ve been to Madame Tussauds and seen the kind of people who are in there. It’s crazy to think that we will be up there with them.’ said Harry Styles 1/5th of the band.
Costing at around £150,000 to make – each, yes we said each! the boys have had two sittings, lots
of measurements taken to make sure they are as realistic as possible.
Dressed in their usual smart-casual style the boys will be sitting on a school style bench where fans
can sit next to all five and get their picture taken.
Principle sculptor, Stephen Mansfield, explained: ‘We are acutely aware that millions of fans around the world will have a lot to say about these figures and we are determined not to let them down.’
The tour beings at Madame Tussauds London on 18 April until 11 July.
Stateside fans can see the figures at Madame Tussauds New York from 19 July – 11 October, when it’ll then move to Sydney, Australia, between 24 October – 28 January 2014.
