Making your own cleaners from items that are already around your home is a great way to cut the cost of cleaning and helping the environment.
Clean your windows to a sparkling finish by combining the following into a spray bottle.
Before using on your windows shake to blend ingredients.
Always use a spray that hasn’t had other contents in it and label it as window cleaner so that it can be used again and again for this purpose.
¼ cup white vinegar, 2 cups water, ½ teaspoon washing up liquid
Shine your chrome taps with a paste of
2 tablespoons salt and 1 teaspoon white vinegar
This easy tip will clean and deodorize your drains
You will need
1 cup baking soda and 1 cup hot white vinegar
Pour down your drain and leave for around 5 minutes then pour boiling water down your drain.
Deodorize your toilet by pouring around 3 cups of white vinegar into the toilet and leave for around 30 minutes before flushing.
Clean your worktops with a cloth soaked in white distilled vinegar for a fresh, clean smell.
Soak your stained white socks or dishcloths overnight by adding
1 cup white vinegar to a large pot of boiling water, drop in your stained items and soak overnight to remove stains
Remove scorch marks from your iron by rubbing it with a warm solution of equal parts of white vinegar and salt.
Give your washing machine hoses a clean and remove any soap scum by adding a cup of white distilled vinegar (nothing else) to your machine and putting on a wash cycle
½ cup of white vinegar added to the final rinse in your washing machine will fluff up your wool or acrylic sweaters and get rid of soap smell.
