Figures from the ONS haven’t all been very merry this week, with UK retailers only just remaining in positive territory and groceries sales in decline however according to new statistics only 4% of online shoppers experienced a delay in receiving their parcels.

PwC’s UK consumer markets leader, Lisa Hooker said: “Online retailers will have been helped by a growing confidence amongst shoppers in the ability of e-retailers to deliver purchases on time, with only 4% of online shoppers recently telling us they experienced delays this year. As reflected in Christmas trading statements released so far, multi channel retailers did particularly well, showing the benefits of having both physical stores and a strong online presence.
