Great British High Street brand Primark, has joined up with Asos, just two months after ruling out a move to online selling.
Now fans of the award winning range can get their hands on their favourite affordable fashion pieces online.
Initially only a limited trial range of 20 womens wear products, such as an Airtex T-shirt from £6 to a studded parka at £22, will be available online. It is hoped that the trial will give them “insight into online retailing”.
George Weston, chief executive of Primark’s parent company Associated British Foods said “Primark would prefer customers to keep toddling down to Oxford Street rather than sit at home buying fashion online”.
With 257 stores across UK, Ireland, Spain and now France this is their first venture into online shopping.
We think this will just be the beginning of Primark’s online retailing which will grow and grow and become a major online retailer, Do you agree?
