Professor River Song To Return For Doctor Who Christmas Special

The highly anticipated return of Doctor Who is set to get even more exciting as it is announced that Professor River Song is set to return for the Christmas special.

Actress Alex Kingston will act as professor River Song for the return as she meets her husbands recent incarnation for the first time in the form of Peter Capaldi.

Speaking of her return, Kingston said:

“To be honest, I did not know whether River would ever return to the show, but here she is, back with the Doctor for the Christmas special. Steven Moffat is on glittering form, giving us an episode filled with humor and surprise guest castings. I met Peter for the first time at Monday’s read through. We had a laugh, and I am now excited and ready to start filming with him and the Doctor Who team. Christmas in September?, why not!”

One thing is for sure, the return of the Doctor Who Christmas special is set to see record high viewers tuning in this December.
