Sainsbury’s Announce Five Thousand New Jobs Over Christmas.

Over Christmas 2012, Sainsbury’s are employing five thousand new members of staff!

In 2010, they announced they would be giving fourteen thousand new jobs, and although this figure is much higher than the just announced figure for 2012, it is still an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for some extra cash over the festive season.

With two thousand members of the hired Christmas staff set to be given the opportunity to stay on with Sainsbury’s in the long term, Sainsbury’s truly are the nations favourite Secret Santa!

Gwyn Burr, a Customer Service and Colleague Director at Sainsbury’s says:

“Seasonal colleagues carry out a number of key roles including customer service, working on check-outs, helping keep shelves full and assisting the online delivery teams as they prepare Christmas shopping orders. This is great experience to help people develop their career, many of our colleagues who started with us at Christmas are now in charge of large teams and budgets, helping to drive sales and deliver great service,”

This move by Sainsbury’s is set to benefit towns and cities throughout the UK. Will you be putting in some extra hours this Christmas 2012?
