Selfridges Goes 3D?

Oxford Street stalwart Selfridges dive into the 3D-printing business with a pop-up shop,  just in time for the Christmas rush.

Visitors to the store will be able to print out a scan of their own body, upload a 3D model for printing, or just pick a toy from the design offered by MyMiniFactory – such as a sword-wielding Batman figurine:

“Every object is original and unique,” says My Mini Factory which is helping our iMakr in Selfridges.

The store opens on 24 October, and will print stuff until the end of 2013 when Selfridges take the space back again.  Cost for the printing will vary, but it is estimated to cost between £50 and £200 and may also require a 48-hour wait.
