Panda – he was a panda bear that had been my brothers, he had jointed arms and a mouth that opened when you pressed his tummy, he was filled with horsehair and his legs had little stuffing – but he was my friend my confidant, my cuddle buddy.
When I was 14 I got a really good cuddly toy cat – siamese. My family thought I was mad asking for it – Bagheera as he became known. He kept me company when I lived in France for a year at 18 as part of my degree and when I made the big step to work in London after uni at age 21. He was still with me after I got married and had my children – he was so worn by then my daughter as a toddler named him “scabby”! Somehow in several house moves he got lost! But I still remember him with affection! He knew more about me than any living person – fortunately he knew how to keep quiet!

My favourite Christmas present ever was a yellow puffa jacket, I thought I looked the bees knees wearing it, and would wear it in rain, snow or shine. I absolutely loved it to death! Then one day the zip got jammed on it and my mother had to cut it off me (literally!) I was devastated but I think my mother was grateful!
