Spider XL Hexbug Set To Take Over 2013!

The biggest ever Hexbug to date, Spider XL, is set to be released in 2o13.

Innovation First International have today announced that there will be two models released – Spider XL and Scarab XL.  The two toys are a massive 65% larger than the earlier Hexbugs and are suitable for children ages 8+.

The incredibly large Spider XL Hexbug is set to retail at roughly £39.99 and measures 7 inches long, 7 inches wide, 5.5 inches high, and weighs over 11 ounces!. The Scarab is slightly smaller than the spider, measuring at 4.75 inches long, 3.75 inches wide and weighing in at over 10 ounces.

Controlled via remote control, the Hexbug Spider XL & Scarab XL have many different features. Some of which include 360 degree steering, LED front eye and three variable speed controls.  The scarab works similarly, but has some different features. The scarab XL Hexbug can spring to it’s feet when placed upside down and has 7 way steering.

Three AA batteries are required for these toys, which are available in both green and blue.
