Spoiler: Coronation Street Plans Emotional Christmas Storyline

Coronation Street producer Stuart Blackburn has revealed the first details of this year’s Christmas storyline.

Viewers will see Fiz, Tyrone and Hope at the center of the show as Hope will be diagnosed with neuroblastima, an aggressive form of cancer and by the time the winter months hit, Fiz and Tyrone will know the full extent of her condition.

Fearing that it could be Hope’s last Christmas, Tyrone and Fiz pull out all the stops to ensure she has the best day ever in what is sure to be a bittersweet episode over the festive season.

Discussing the plotline, Blackburn told Metro.co.uk and others at a recent press event: ‘It’s going to be the best Christmas Day ever. Santa Claus – he is real and he is genuinely coming. It’s going to be Fiz and Tyrone’s episode where they fear it could be Hope’s last Christmas. But what she is going to have is the best Christmas ever.’
