Our Review Of “A Christmas Cracker Killing” & Where To Buy

UnderTheChristmasTree were kindly sent one of the A Christmas Cracker Killing games by Red Herring Games.

Upon receiving the game we can see that there is lots of different items included in the kit, there is:

  • Instruction booklet
  • Invitations and envelopes for all of the guest
  • CD of the inspector
  • Character booklets
  • Making the most of your theme and recipe suggestions booklets
  • Inspector booklet in a sealed envelope

Upon reading the instructions sent out invitations and assigned each a character, there was 6 of us in total although you can play with upto 12 players. We also decided to use the script instead of the CD and tried to get a good setting, we played some spooky music, made the room slightly duller and set the table with a few Christmas decorations.

The characters are Frank Incense, Phil Stockins, Gaye Garland, Rudolph Snose, Holly Sprig, Paula Kracker and there is also the detective. We followed the instructions in each of our booklets with out own scripts and after giving our opening speech it was time to move onto round 1, where we each took it in turns to ask questions about the victim and moved through the rounds reading from our scripts before it was time to make our concluding statement and to then guess who we thought the murderer was.

Elaine guessed it right and we had a prize of a tin of sweets for her as she was crowned the winner after the solution was read of by the detective and the murderer locked up with the key thrown away for their crime!

Overall the murder mystery game was lots of fun and had everyone laughing and suspecting each other! This will make the perfect dinner game for all of your family and friends.
