Tesco to release its own tablet for Christmas 2013

Aiming to rival Apple, Amazon and Samsung, Tesco is to launch it’s very own tablet in time for Christmas.

The tablet which would be pre-loaded with apps for the grocery store, Blinkbox and even the company financial services is expected to compete directly with Amazon Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7.

It won’t just be Tesco’s services on the ipad-like device as books, films and music will also feature.

The retailer has so far made “no comment” about the Christmas release, although it’s already been rumoured to retail at around £130, making it one of the more purse friendly gadgets.
