Yes, you read that title right. The Polar Express is coming to Birmigham this Christmas 2016.
Youngsters can step into the magical shoes of the little boy in the film “The Polar Express” as they embark on a wonderful Winter adventure.
Kids all across the globe will remember the ‘hero boy’ from one of our all time favourite Christmas movies, as he embarks on an epic Christmas Eve journey of self belief. It’s fair to say that most children would dream of stepping into his shoes and hop aboard the Polar Express for some festive fun.
It seems that those dreams could well turn into reality as the Polar Express comes to Birmingham this Christmas 2016.
Children will be encouraged to wear their pyjamas and dressing gowns where they will be escorted to their seats by chefs just like it was in the movie. Scenes from the movie come to life as children are entertained with dancing chefs and waiters who will serve them warm cookies and hot chocolate whilst they tell each other what makes Christmas so special.
The fun doesn’t stop there! Children will be read the book ‘the polar express’ which the film was based on. As you arrive at the North Pole you will be greeted with Santa Claus, a huge Christmas tree and a sack of toys.
There will be untold excitement as children watch Santa gifting the hero boy with the first gift of Christmas, before receiving their very own gift of a silver bell from Santa’s sleigh, which will be issued by the main man himself as he steps on board the train.
Throughout the journey home, chefs and waiters will sing Christmas Carols with the children. Upon departing the train, children will take a look inside the elves workshops where they can join in making decorations and festive treats.
Be sure to take your camera, but if you forget, fear not as a professional photographer will also be on board.
The event will take place between Friday 2nd December until Friday 23rd December. There are four rides each day and each one lasts one hour.
Tickets are priced at £22 and bookings must be made online at https://midlandsthepolarexpressride.com/book-tickets/
