New figures suggest that the UK has gone Onesie Mad, with the all in one pyjamas being tipped as the number 1 bestseller for Christmas 2012.
Asda have ordered in 1 million onesies for over the festive season!
Onesies became popular in 2011, after stars such as Joey Essex from The Only Way Is Essex wearing them as both pyjamas and for day to day wearing. Other stars such as Lucy Mecklenburgh, Xfactor’s Rylan Clark, Rihanna, One Direction and even Holly Willoughby have all been seen in the comfortable clothing.
More than 2000 Onesies were sold in one week and now dedicated online stores have been opened to sell Onesies.
The most popular onesies are for children, with different designs such as Spongebob Squarepants and The Incredible Hulk now available in high street stores such as New Look & Debenhams, the question really shouldn’t be who has a onesie?, but who hasn’t.
